Genesis chapter 1
Comments below
and
the window under here has the actual text NIV

The Interesting point is that chapter 1 and 2, I believe the true message has been destroyed because of what Theologians are teaching.

Some people say the world is 10 thousand years old approx and people say other teaching and you can go onto Google and you can have a lot of information.

With my thinking I believe what the Scientists teach is correct and the the Universe is billions of years old and the Universes billions of years away is correct

Evolution etc teaches the earth came into being somehow where the original matter they cannot answer where it started the actual matter. and then they go onto picturing and evolution type of way the earth came into being after the Big Bang.

How the Universes formed can be correct and how the Earth came into being can also be correct. So I give a lot of yes, to what the scientists are teaching.

The only debate with me is that it was God that brought matter into being, to exist. But many scientists do the best to say there is no God anywhere in the picture. But as Christians we start with a living God. So God brought matter into existence

Text comment now.

To set the scene with God there is no space or time. In other words a million years is as 1 day. God speaks in Abraham and then he states I told you in Abraham this is the case. God, you, me, Abraham talking together now. Time irrelevant.

Space is talking about God is everywhere. So I am in Deepwater Australia and you could be in Syria and to God there is no space that separates us we are together in God's Kingdom etc.

So in Genesis Chapter 1 God Created the heavens and the earth. God here is simply saying he made the world. And we see how he made the world.

The earth was formless and empty and darkness. So here we see what the scientists are saying matter exist here but there is no form which comes over time. As we know what the scientists are teaching and in the billions of years the Universe the Earth Planets etc has to be formed.

The difference in thinking here is most scientists cut God out of the picture so their theory is by chance the  form, empty, the darkness came together to build our universe and world.

This verse 1 tells us God was the originated the earth in the beginning was in chaos and then the Spirit of God was hovering over the water. So matter came into being no form then in a deliberate way God's Spirit engineered  the shape of the matter and guided the matter to become the wonderful Universe we see and the planets and more.

So that is chapter 1 verse 1

What happens next is a picture of what has happened and God simply uses day 1 to day 6 to reveal to us to understand. The picture is not to be taken a chronology of God did this or that after each day .

God talked about
1/ Light, Darkness. The Sun creates the light and dark
2/ Water in the heavens  and the water on our earth. seas, ocean. A separation of the waters as we know the water is on the earth and then it evaporates etc and we have the water in the heavens such as rain etc.
3/ God talks about the earth and the ocean being separated so this happened as the well began to be shaped. This time period can be millions and even more. As I said to God time is irrelevant.
4/ Then we see the lights in the heavens such as stars, planets, sun, moon. And this time is the fourth day, yet we know the picture here would have been in place on day 1 when God separated the  light from the darkness because we know without the sun there is no lights, no light and the darkness comes as we move away from the sun such as our day light and night darkness.
So this picture on the fourth day is simply a statement allocated to the fourth day. The lights in the heavens were in place even before the day 1 God was simply allocating days 1-6 to reveal the creation of God. Not an active creation on each day but God has taken the curtain away in a order way we can understand.

So this means I am agreeing with the scientists with their goal to gain as much as possible knowledge how the universe and earth came into being.
The only difference is as a Christian we say God was the motor, the engine how the matter finally came to the Universe Earth as we know and now we see further and further into space and we realize the universe distance is billions of years.

What happened did not happen by chance.

In Genesis 1:20  we see God said, Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

How this happened we do not know. There is no clue other then somehow God made the fish, birds etc and once in place things happened and born, dieing and life goes on.

Then we find in Genesis 1: 24  And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

How this happened we do not know. There is no clue other then somehow God made the fish, birds etc and once in place things happened and born, dieing and life goes on.

There is room for all the different theories on how creatures land creatures, and those creatures in the ocean. And can be millions of years of evolving over time

So now we go to Genesis chapter 26-28

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, ] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them

So God made Man and Female. Mankind Man came from the dust and Female from Adams rid

So from my perspective and the Christian view God made Man and Female. We know God did but how it happened we do not know.

Finally we see more in Genesis chapter 2 and then I will make a conclusion.

I will show you that these chapters are not meant to be taken one verse from another showing what happened

Genesis 1

New International Version (NIV)

The Beginning

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Bible Genesis Chapter 2 Comments
If you look at Chapter 2 and verses 4-7 you see the Earth exist but there was no vegetation, Trees, Grass, etc and the reason is that had no water, rain.

So this fits in after the Earth was created the earth was barren and this barren could be for millions even billions and the Spirit began shaping the earth and one was a mist goes from the ground to cause water and therefore vegetation came, so this fills in a bit more about Chapter 2.

God then made man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being.
We are told in Genesis chapter 1 man was made after the image and likeness of God and without distorting the text a likeness or image we see what we see we see Adam and Adam is created after God's likeness and image.  So we today is also born after the image and likeness of God. So there is no intermediate steps in Jesus Genealogy that goes backwoods the last step is Adam is a son of God

So mankind did not evolve as Evolutionist will tell us.

When the water came we see a Garden in the East in Eden. Four rivers and it was a blossoming wonderful land

Quote....Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin[d] and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.[e] 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. Quote end.

So Adam was to take care of the garden. In the middle there was one tree that Adam was not to eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If Adam eats he would certainly die

A lot is said about why that one tree was in the Garden  “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Why was that Tree in the garden of Edom?

With God you have a choice to obey him or not. So Adam and Eve also had that in their making. God does not force you to follow him. When we look at the Bible God's voice there is also that point. You can follow God or not. Adam and Eve decided to not listen to God's voice.  Cain disobeyed God and killed Abel. Before the Noah flood mankind disobeyed God. God's people Israel would not obey God. In Jesus Christ time the Pharisees, Scribes leaders decided to kill Jesus. Today June 22nd 2014 mankind also decide to follow God or not. Listen to God's voice or not. So the reason the Tree of life was in the garden of Edom.
Well!
God was saying to Adam and Eve I have made you and you can listen to my voice if you want to or not. So even though we can say Adam and Eve were tricked the bottom line is they decided to listen to Satan's voice in spite of God's warning if you disobey me there are consequences.
Today!
is exactly the same. God's voice goes out to all the world. Come to Jesus Christ  Come to the Cross. Find out who Jesus is and ask for your sins forgiven. Jesus will remove your sins and give you a fresh start with God and when you die you will be with God, Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God. Those who refuse to listen to God suffer the consequences and they have to pay for the price of their sins. The price of sin is death, what ever that means.

In the same way God created mankind so God brought animals, out of the ground, also birds in the sky and all wild animals. So once again there is no intermediated step such as evolution.

Go also made Female, Eve from the rib of Adam. How this is done we are not told except with God he does what ever he wants. Mankind from the dust of the earth. Female from Adams rib and after we die we all go back to the dust.

Bible Genesis 2

New International Version (NIV)

Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Adam and Eve

This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth[a] and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, but streams[b] came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. Then the Lord God formed a man[c] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam[f] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[g] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
    and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Above the Old Testament below New Testament.

Interesting is that we all have ears to hear and we all have eyes to see and perceive what is happening. Unfortunately most of the time we decide to not listen to God and we suffer the consequences. You and me. Listen. Read the message of the 7 Churches in Revelation

My comments on Matthew Chapter 1.  Text is below this window
It is no mistake that Genealogy of  Jesus starts with Abraham contrasting with another Genealogy that starts with Joseph and traces Jesus Christ back to the Adam was a son of God.

Jesus Christ is Abraham's starting point for all those who have faith in Jesus Christ. If you like in Faith we are children of Abraham and we are a descendant of Abraham as God promised Abraham. By Faith we are saved.

The Birth of Jesus Christ is worth a comment because Joseph saw Mary was pregnant so he thought she did the wrong thing and he was going to quietly get rid of her.

The angel said to Joseph do not be afraid to take Mary for a wife

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”

In Mary's case the seed for the child was placed by the Holy Spirit into Mary's womb and then a normal pregnancy happened.

This fits in place the fact that Jesus did not come from the world. Jesus was born into God's world from Heaven. The seed from heaven so he was a true child of God and we find Jesus in fact was a true son of God in a true way. Jesus is the exact reflection of his Father, God himself. So now as we know when we see Jesus we see God.

We can see the contrasting situation where we are born in the world and we are then taken out of the world into God's Kingdom we are adopted in to God's Kingdom.

Jesus never had he was a true son of God he existed always and then an amazing thing happen when we sinned God loved us and though we are lost because of our sin Jesus was given a people which is us,  he was born in the earth to claim his place in saving a people, that is we who come to Jesus and  Jesus had to die and shed his blood for us. It is simply amazing

So Mary was a virgin from our perspective but in fact God chose Mary to bring the world a Saviour who is Jesus Christ.

We will now move to chapter 2 of Matthew.

Matthew 1:1-25

New International Version (NIV)

The Genealogy of Jesus the Messiah

This is the genealogy[a] of Jesus the Messiah[b] the son of David, the son of Abraham:

Abraham was the father of Isaac,

Isaac the father of Jacob,

Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,

Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,

Perez the father of Hezron,

Hezron the father of Ram,

Ram the father of Amminadab,

Amminadab the father of Nahshon,

Nahshon the father of Salmon,

Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,

Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,

Obed the father of Jesse,

and Jesse the father of King David.

David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,

Solomon the father of Rehoboam,

Rehoboam the father of Abijah,

Abijah the father of Asa,

Asa the father of Jehoshaphat,

Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram,

Jehoram the father of Uzziah,

Uzziah the father of Jotham,

Jotham the father of Ahaz,

Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,

10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh,

Manasseh the father of Amon,

Amon the father of Josiah,

11 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah[c] and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.

12 After the exile to Babylon:

Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,

Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,

13 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud,

Abihud the father of Eliakim,

Eliakim the father of Azor,

14 Azor the father of Zadok,

Zadok the father of Akim,

Akim the father of Elihud,

15 Elihud the father of Eleazar,

Eleazar the father of Matthan,

Matthan the father of Jacob,

16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.

Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g] (which means “God with us”).

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
