It was lunch time today an article in The
Australian Wednesday 7th 2011 written Ruth Gledhill London
and The times |

The Title is: and he was referring to the protesters camped
outside St Paul's Cathedral. When I read this article of Rowan Williams as
the head of The Archbishop of Canterbury with his slogan: 'What
would Jesus do?' I though Rowan was indentifying with the
protesters and asking them to do a rethink. But as I analyzed
this article that you can read the article below this text and
my analysis is here 1-10. Rowan Williams was really supporting
the Capitalist Economy, so have a read. 1/ To say that Jesus would not be on their side is completely false . Jesus Christ would never ever take sides. Jesus Christ would only be looking into the very heart, mind, thoughts, desires, motivation for why an action is done. Each person, protesters, clergy and also why Rowan Williams made this statement as the Archbishop of Canterbury. Speaking I guess as the head of the Anglican Group in England and around the world. 2/ To say 'for an audience' rather than for a principle is hypocrisy because Rowan William himself has made this article, statement for an audience in the same way the Title of the article 'Jesus not on your side, protesters told' is for an audience. 3/ I was interested in Rowan Williams
using the slogan 'What would Jesus do'. The Archbishop of
Canterbury Rowan William knows very well God, Jesus Christ, Holy
Spirit, is clearly telling people in the context 'What would
Jesus do' God said on the mountain ' Listen to my Son' talking
about Jesus Christ and Jesus said, 'Follow my Commandments' If
you do what Jesus says you are abiding in Jesus and one of the
Commandments is to obey your Authorities. 4/ Rowan Williams is correct, Jesus does ask each protester to look at their own motives and often only Jesus, God knows the true motive which can be hidden inside the mind. 5/ I do not like what The Archbishop of Canterbury is saying here because Jesus would not even think about the group, or which side to be on, whether it be the Protesters, Clergy, Rowan Williams, Authority.. People may be caught up in a movement such as Anti-Capital, but the bottom line is each person is to give an account to Jesus Christ. Often in life the truth or wrong in a situation is clouded in so many levels, rich, poor, capitalist, money, people, authority, government clergy, 6/ Rowan Williams in absolutely correct 'The Jesus we meet in the Bible asks the awkward questions. ' Unfortunately most people simply push aside what they really should be thinking or doing. Often they are doing something which is against God, Jesus will. 7/ I disagree with the Archbishop of Canterbury
about, empire, capitalist economy, involvement. Jesus clearly
teaches imitate me. People usually do not imitate Jesus Christ.
I think to say the protesters about the capitalist economy can
compromises you fatally is his opinion. It can or not be fatal.
I think Rowan Williams assessment is over the top. All levels
such as point 5 can all be at fault. 8/ So now we see why Rowan William as Archbishop of Canterbury made this statement. It was not the principle here. His audience was mainly Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, prepares for meetings between City of London financiers and St Paul's protesters. The protesters a crowd but the important audience financiers to support the Church. It was not the principle here, but the audience. 9/ If ever there is a red herring this would
have to be 'reconnecting finance and ethics' So Rowan
William was really concerned about the loss of prestige, income,
tourism, of the Cathedral. So the Archbishop of Canterbury has a
false thesis. He is only interested in 'reconnecting finance and
ethics'. It makes you wonder who is supporting who. Obviously in
this statement Rowan is supporting the money economy. The
Capitalist. 10/ This paragraph is completely out of place with the so called thesis of his statement here or was his thesis really supporting the Capitalist because the Cathedral was suffering losing income. As for Rowan Williams as the head of the
Archbishop of Canterbury with his slogan: |
